The gospel of Christian metal

Blake Sherwin ran Reanimated Radio as his project for many years. He faithfully found and shared the best Christian metal with his listeners. Blake stayed true to his mission, and Reanimated Radio was the top Christian metal broadcaster in the world.
Sometime in 2021, Reanimated Radio stopped broadcasting. Maybe Blake was burned out. Maybe the financial costs and headaches of running an online radio station had taken their toll. I don't know the details, but I know he didn't get a lot of support in his dedication to the Christian metal scene.
Back from the dead with powerful Christian metal?
This website is hardcoded. It's fast, tough, and global. Can it host an Azuracast audio stream? Can it be the home for a new Reanimated station? Yes it can. Will the gospel of Christian metal carry on?
Snapping chains of death with Christian metal.
Most Christian music is shallow and weak. It doesn't capture the profound sorrow and trauma of life. It doesn't understand the cold darkness that erodes hope. It doesn't have the intensity of spiritual warfare.
Christian metal does speak to these spiritual struggles. It embodies the descent into death and the triumph of resurrection, "Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him" (Romans 6:8).
A surprising number of the best metal bands in the world are Christian. Their music is not fake. It's not meant to gather crowds or make lots of money. It's not some horror show for stupid teenagers. It's amazing metal for people who get the emotional depth and intensity of the style.
